We had a lovely Easter weekend filled with lots of festivities. We had brunch plans down in Irvine on Sunday morning so knowing we wouldn't have a lot of leisure time to hang around in the morning, we convinced the Easter Bunny to visit the Kibbutz during naptime on Saturday so the boy had a hunt waiting for him when he woke up.
He quickly caught on and was even more delighted when he realized that the eggs contained chocolate. The Easter bunny even hid some of mama's favorite Cadbury creme eggs in the basket, which we still haven't corrupted Hayes with but I'm sure they'll get enjoyed by somebody in the household (who... me?!?).
On Sunday morning, we headed down to Irvine to meet Pa for brunch at Strawberry Farms Golf Club. I have to give the husband credit for this one - he was in search of a classic Easter brunch and he found a gem. Hayes enjoyed his French Toast and cubes of cheese (quite the combo, eh?) and after we finished gorging ourselves, he partook in the Easter hunt the farm put on and even exchanged a high five with the scary looking Easter bunny.

We lounged around on Sunday afternoon, the boys going to the hot tub and golf course and the girls at Tootsies, where I indulged in an Easter pedi, and finished off the day with a classic Easter feast of ham, scalloped potatoes, asparagus and a delicious arugula, fig and burrata salad.
